Black Clay medium Kurinuki Teabowl

Black clay, something I don’t usually have in my studio, but after many many requests it is back for a very small release of pieces. If there is anything you really like, it might be time to buy it as I don’t know when I will be working again with black clay. 

The kurinuki tea bowls you see here are a small collection of different sizes. All of them are glazed on the inside but left raw and unglazed on the outside. This allows not only for visual interest but also for a tactile experience you don’t get with your everyday ceramics. Added to this is a foot that is, instead of being trimmed out of the clay on the wheel, carved into the cup with a unique hexagonal shape.  

This medium sized teabowl measures approximately 6cm tall by 8cm wide and holds about 150ml of fluids.
